Interesting Broadcasts
Some 3YA Attractions AST week in Christchurch the Rotarians held their seventh annual conference. The opportunity was taken by 38YA to carry out some very interesting broadcasts. These took the form of the broadcast of portion of an entertainment given in the Municipal Concert Hall, and of two addresses, one by Dr. J. B. Condliffe, and the other by Mr. Charles Frazier, of Honolulu. Mr. Frazier spoke from. 3YA, delivering an excellent address on’: the development of the Rotarian’ spirit in international service. ' Another very interesting broadcast: carried out by 8YA during the week. Was a relay of an impromptu Diggers’. reunion held on the stage of Fullers’’ Opera House by Pat Hanna .and_ his: company at the conclusion of the evening’s theatrical performance. Be-:: tween two hundred and three hundred-ex-soldiers were present, and a most enjoyable programme was broadcast.. Australian Diggers had been asked to. listen-in, and at that hour of the night: the broadeast should have "got dyer" well.
