Policy Less Conservative
In the past the British Broadcasting Corporation has been rigidly restricted from broadcasting anything of a controversial character. Even the broadcasting of political speeches was barred because the respective parties could not agree on a method of treating all sides alike. At last the barriers against controversy have been broken down, and since November 9 a series of highly debatable talks is being radiated from the London and other principal stations throughout Great Britain. It will be interesting to note the effect of this on the forth--coming general election ° campaign in the United Kingdom.
