A PETITION has been sent to the B.B.C. asking for a large increase in the Welsh programmes pending the provision of a Welsh station. It is said that there are 150,000 people who cannot understand spoken HEnglish. D®. J. A. Flemming, the inventor of the first type of valve and a scientist known to all the world, has accepted the presidency of the Television Society, England. IN order to avoid interference from the Continent, the B.B.C, has made plans to operate all its relay stations on the same wave-length. The progratmme broadcast will generally be that of Daventry.
