({REAT interest has been aroused in Great Britain by the reply of the Baird Television Company to the B.B.C. with reference to its refusal to broadcast television from its stations. In the course of the reply it was stated that "The Baird system of television advancement makes it, in the opinion of many independent authorities, fit for a public service . . .
