A Pale Dog
A little girl had been in the habit of taking a néighbour’s small dog out for walks each day, and one day she called for the dog as usual, but wae told the dog could not come out that day as it was ill. The child asked what was the matter with. the dog, and was. told by.the owner that she thought the dog had distemper coming. On returning home the child told her mother she was so sorry she was wunable to take the dog’ out to-day as Mrs. -- believed the dog was suffering from an attack of, whitewash.
