The Blenheim Relay
A .Very Successful Broadcast HE broadcast from Blenheim on the occasion of the arrival of the "Southern Cross’ was very successful, so reports received by the Broadcasting Company would indicate. "Every word came in distinctly, free from fading or distortion of any kind. As soon as the announcer said that the drone of the engines was audible, we picked it up, Showing that transmission must have been well nigh perfect,’ writes the company’s official listener at Wai-. keri, North Auckland. Other reports in a similar strain have also been received, and, what was particularly gratifying to the Broadcasting Company, was a letter of appreciation from the Marlborough Progress League. As a matter of fact, of course, the people of Blenheim, and especially the Aero Club, have not been able to do enough (in their opinion) to help the company’s officers to make the broadeasting a success. . Such a suecessful relay from Blenheim by means of land line and submarine cable was a great achievement for the Broadcasting Company, and for the Post and Telegraph Department, who did everything possible to provide such an excellent line. ,
