Painted Toilet Sets. AINTED wood toilet sets are one of , fashion’s’ latest whims, and make ideal wedding presents. A set of silvered or gilded wood painted with bright colours in a tapestry design would be ideal in a bedroom with the popular gold or silver walls, and the pattern appears again on bedspread of silver-grey satin. Monograms on Hats. MONOGRAMS and club colours have "already adorned pockets and scarf ends, and have been placed on almost every conceivable part of a jumper, but the newest spot to have pet colours or initials is on the front of a summer sports hat. Right in the centre is the correct place, and a hat of bois-de-rose stitched linen has the initials of its wearer hand-painted in white and black. Evening Shawls. FIVENING coats and cloaks are being a superseded by the square shawls of gold lame interwoven with vivid colours.
