Children's Sessions for Next Week

AT 1YA. TUESDAY, JULY 8.-Uncle George with us, and cousins giving songs, pianoforte solos and recitations. WEDNESDAY-Uncle Tom in charge, with more jokes and funny stories. Letters, birthdays and greetings, and cousins assisting. THURSDAY-A happy evening with songs and musical sketches from Aunt Jean and Aunt Pearl. As usual Peter Pan and Cinderella will have some catches and conundrums for each other, FRIDAY-Here’s Nod, and with him seven clever little cousins who are going to give us a delightful playette called ‘Princess Tenderheart," Tune in for Friday night. SATURDAY-To-night Cinderella has some tiny tots with her. Hear them sing their little songs. One tiny tot will give us some Maori songs. Letters and birthday greetings. SUNDAY-Children’s Song Service. conducted by Uncle Leo assisted by cousins from St. Stephen’s Presbyterian Sunday School. AT 2YA. MONDAY, JULY 2-Uncle Jeff and Aunt Gwen will tell some goodnight stories and _ give their birthday cheer, and the clever little pupils of Mrs, Isobel Halligan will hurry-too fast-the hour away. TUESDAY-Big Brother Jack will ehe2r you through this hour, not forgetting; birthday greetings for his little brothers and sis-ters-and tnen what else? Why, Miss Edna Purdie’s pupils will sing and recite for you.

THURSDAY-There will be an Uncle or an Aunt-but that is a secret now, so wait for Thursday, and the Hataitai School will be there too-singing all kinds of jolly chorus songs. ‘ Ernest in his cheery way will tell you stories, wish you birthday greetings, and send his happy laugh across the air. Little Ailsa will sing for you-and Miss Agnes Wright’s pupils will play pianoforte solos. SATURDAY-Uncle Toby and Aunt | Gwen are going for a trip to | Rotorua in the radio aeroplane. | -wWill you come, children ? We | will see the lovely Blue and Green Lakes, and if there is time will visit Hinemoa’s Bath on Mokoia Island — and then children, we may listen to some lovely Maori songs. SUNDAY-Children’s Service will be conducted by Uncle Ernest, assisted by the children of St. John’s Choir. AT 3YA. MONDAY, JULY 2-AIl listen in to give "Seatterjoy’ a welcome to-night. She has many surprises for you-so be prepared. Cousin Gwen will give some zither solos-and the .Avonside Mouth Organ Quartet are playing for us too. WEDNESDAY-Uncle Peter and Mother Hubbard in their jolly little bedtime session-and the Grammar School boys are singing for us. THURSDAY-Chuckle and Aunt Pat -always merry and bright. The New Brighton School Choir is coming and-what ?-why yesthe drum and fife band tooHoorah !

FRIDAY-aAnother lovely bedtime hour, with Big Brother and his stories. The Captain on deck, too. Some little singers from . the Cashmere School will be here also. SATURDAY-Uncle Sam and Aunt May with their wonderful supply of stories and music to keep you happy and gay. SUNDAY-Children’s Song Service, conducted by Uncle David-as-sisted by the scholars from the Clarence Road Methodist Sun- ’ day School. AT 4YA. TUESDAY, JULY 8-A band of 20 mouth organs playing negro melodies and old-time airs from. 4YA to-night. Mr. Mowat is the bandmaster, and the band is. called the Kaikorai Mouth Organ Band. Brother Bill has heard them, and his opinion is they are simply "stunner." Suppose ycu listen in and see ? Nowadays, th: radio postie has the nicest whistle; it sends soft thrills all down your back, particularly if you are one of the lucky birthday people. Stories and riddles as usual. FRIDAY-Did you ever read about Michael O’Halloran’s "lovely lady." No? Well, you must someday. In the meantime, here is a lovely lady who can talk just as nicely as did Michael’s. And she is going to recite poems from A. A. Milne. You MUST hear her. Miss Hilda Scurr is her name. Aunt Shiela will be back again, and Big Brother Bill somewhere about. The radio postie, of course, and scores of new riddles.
