The first meeting of the new committee of the Amateur Radio NSocietyof Wellington was held last week. Mr. Byron Brown (president) oecnpied the ehair. Morgan,’as official represeutative of the Taranaki Club, reported that he had visited New Plymouth recently, and had been in communication with the Broadcasting Compang | regarding the intense fading and distortion of 2ZYA, Wellington, as heard) in certain areas in New Plymouth. From what Mr. Morgan reported, it seemed that the trouble was due to some local pecniiarity, as perfect reception was obtained from 2YA in another area of New Plymouth, and at the mouutain honve on Mount Lemont. Members of the committee expressed the opinion that the problem was a most diffienIL one, ‘The matter has been reported by the Taranaki Club to the Postmaster-General, who has replied that it will be referred to the sentiie Research Board for investigation, Mr. W.
