Shielded-Grid Stages.
(THE amplification obtainable from a shielded-grid receiver is dependent upon the excellence of the coil and condenser comprising the tuning circuit of the R.F. amplifier stage, and selectivity upon the degree of coupling of one tube to the next through the tuned circuit. Selectivity may be controlled by taps on the R.I’. transformer.
