Jn 1873 Clerk Maxwell showed from mathematical computations based upon observed physical phenomena that radio was possible. In 1866 Hertz carried out tadio communication in his laboratory. But it was not until 1896, twenty-three years after Clerk Maxwell that Marconi effected the first experiments in practical radio; it was ret until 1901 that he first obtained signas3 across the Atiantic.
