The best method by which one can vary the "B" battery voltage on the plate of a soft detector yalve is to connect a potentio meter across the A" battery terminals and connect the middle leg of the potentiometer to the negative of the ‘B’’ battery. This will give a six volt variation on the plate of the yalye,
