A parody on Shakespeare’s ‘‘Hamlet" will be among her numbers. , Miss Edna Peace, a popular contralto singer at 1¥A, and a prize winner at the srecent musical competitions, will contrifmuic, among others, "Awe Maria" an@""WGil He Come?" on Tuesday evening... . A well-known Auckland violinist, Mr. Martin Richardson, will be playing on Tuesday evening. : A droil humorist, Mr. J. A. Sharp, WH! contribute to Tuesday evening's programine at 1LYA, bre ‘Mr. Stan. Pritchard, whose cultured baritone voice delights listeners-iu ‘to IVA, will be heard again on ‘Tuesday, his numbers including the @ramatic "Invictus."? Ingall’s popular Hawaiian Instrumentalists will be heard again on Tuesday playing some of tlicir captivating tunes. The programme for Wednesday evening will be given by the Auckjand Artillery Band, assisted by Miss Laura Walker, soprano, and Mr. J. Bree, baritone. The band, which needs no introdtuction to lis: feners, will include’ among their numbers several descriptive pieces and overtures, including the ‘‘AbysSinian Expedition," by Pridham, and "If I Were King," by Adams. This band is one of the best broadcasting combinations put on the air from 1YA, the balance and techmique Being well nigh perfect. Mr. Bree's items include *‘The Wind on the Heath," by Lohr, and "The Ringers,’’ by the same composer,
"Mother You Kitow the Story," from "Cayalleria Rusticann," "by Mascagni, and "Devotion," by Schumann, wiil be among the numbers to be sung by Miss Laura Waiker, The Auckland Artillery Band will be under the avle con: ductorship of Mr. Eustace Tregilgas, who is alse well known te asteners as a solo cornetist, The concert programme for T'riday evening will serve te introduce a new performer to 1YA, in the person of Miss 3S. Stacpoole. Miss Stacpoole has a splendid soprane voice, and is looked upon as one of the utust promising of Anckland’s young sinyers. She wiil sing "By the Blue River," by Corings-by-Clarke, and ‘Homing,’ by Del | Riego. Miss Phyllis Gribben, whose rich contralte voice is always a pleasure to lis‘ten to at 1YA, will be heard again on Friday.
The instructive talks on ‘‘Motoring," which Mr. George Campbell Bives, will be continued ou iriday evening. | An organ recital, given by Mr. Arthur E, Wilson, will occupy the second part of the programme on Friday. These organ recitals are always much appreciated by lovers of organ music, and the wonderful reproduction of this organ, even to the deep pedal notes, further enhances this appreciation. The programme for Saturday evening: will consist of the Municipal band con-. cert from the Auckland Town Hall. The band will be under the conductorship of Mr. Christopher Smith. Dance: music from the Click Clack Cabaret will follow the band concert. } Sunday evening’s church service will, be relayed from St. David’s Presbyterian Church, the preacher being the Rey. D. C. Herron, and the organist Mr. Edward S. Craston, Mus. Bac. A relay of the organ recital from the Town Haii will follow, Mr. Maughan Barnett being the organist.
