_- TILRUE MORE STATIONS, One of the most significant items of wireless news since 3L0, Melbourne got its liceuse is the announcemeni that the Broadcasting Company of Aus= tralia is applying for licenses in South Australia, West Australia, and Tasmania. . It is intended to operate these sta. tions, if the licenses are granted, on the same lines and just as efficiently as 8L0, Melbourne, It is undoubtedly to the advantage of these States to have stations installed and operated by skilled and successful operators witia such experience behind them as have those of 81,0, Melbourne. Better for Everyone, The application for these broadcast licenses are a logical development of the recommendation of the Australias Wireless Commission that 8LO and 20°C should assist the weaker States with portions of their revenue. It is obvions that to take, say, £10,000 out of the coffers of a successful company like 8L0, Melbourne, aud hand it without conditions or guarantees to & weak aid inexperienced station in ati other State would be neither wise nor expedient.
