. .Miss Ina Thomson, whose beau- | fiful contralto voice’ continues to diclight listeners at LYA, will rene der several numbers on Tuesday evening, including Beethoven's "In Quests Tomba." Having been absent from 1YA _ for some considerable time, Mr. Hartley Warburton will muke a welconie reapearance before the microphone on Tuesday evéning. His numbers will include the famous ‘Questa O Qnella," from "Rigoletto," and ‘A Bachelor Gay," from "The Maid of the Mountains,’ by Tait At I1YA on Tuesday, Nell, the Bohemian, who is the lady member of the wellknown Bohemian Duo, who are such favourites at LYA, will enchant listeners with her own quaint tendering of Maori folk songs. Elocutionary items will be given at 1YA on Tuesday by the wellknown young Auckland elocutionist, Miss Winifred Crosher,-a notable prize winner at the recent Auckland musical festival. Maud Peacocke’s ‘‘Lynette"’ will be among the items to be given by her. The instrumental section of the programme at 1YA on Tuesday will be provided by Mr. Vic. Bedford, popular flautist, and Mr. Martin Richardson, violinist. . At LYA on Wednesday Mr. Clinton Williams’s resonant baritone voice will be heard in the "Harvest Song." He will also contribute two numbers, "Open the Gates of the Temple," and the great oratorio solo, "It is Enough,"’ from "Elijah.’? Both these numbers will have organ accompaniment by Mr. Arthur EB. Wilson. . The sweet tetior voice of Mr. George Barnes will be heard at 1YA on Wedhiesday in a number of items, the chief of which will be "The Last Muster." Mr, Culford Bell, elocutionist and Bnnounce® at 1YA, will contribute a talk on "Shakespeare’s Comede Jes," which will find favour among followers of "the Bard." The second half of the programme at IYA on Wednesday will be taken up with a grand organ recital, the organist being Mr. Arthur E. Wilson. Mr, Stan. Pritchard, now an estabfished favourite at 1YA, will contribute to an excellent programme at 1YA- on Thursday. He will delight with the **Harbour Night Song’’ and other yocal gems. | . | The brilliant pianist, Miss Maida Hooker, will make her second- appearance before the "mike’’ at 1YA on Thursday, and will render several num — bers. | Miss Berta Carr, the well-known soprano, who has been heard but once only from 1YA, will contribute several delightful solos, including Rachmaninofi’'s "In the Silent Night,’ from 1YA, on Thursday. Mr. Thomas Harris, elocutionist, will once again be heard per medium of the inicrophone at 1YA on Thursday. His voice will be heard in the declamatory "Hell Gate of Soissons," and in a humorous number, "The Plaint of the Tram Conductor." » Mr. Walter Smith’s Radio Band, on« of the finest combinations of its kind in the Dominicy, will contribute the second half of the programme at 1YA on Thursday. Their numbers will inelude vocal and instrumental renditions of all the most popular songs and noyelty numbers. One of the wost popular duos at IVA, the Asquiths, will again entertain and delight listeners with their much appreciated drawing-room entertain. ment at LYA on I'ridav. .
PR Flute solos will be rendered by Mr. Les. Rainger, who has not been heard from 1YA for some considerable time. His numbers for Friday night include selections from Gilbert and Sullivan’s airs. At 1YA on Friday, soprano solos will be contributed by Miss Ida Holmes, whose brilliant voice needs no introduction to listeners. The St. Andrew’s Society Orchestra, composed of twenty-six musicians, will render a-number of orchestral selections, including "Southern Melodies" ier HRP UNET HEE VES veelt TOHYL
and "March Clarion" at 1YA on Friday. lyisteners are assured of a musical treat. The Auckland municipal organ recital will be broadcast from the Town Hall on Saturday, the organ. ist being Mr. Maughan Barnett.
