Alva Studio. MISS EILEEN CARTER. Miss Eileen Carter gained a Trinity College (London) Exhibition for pianoforte playing (with 99 marks). She was also local centre medallist. For four years she also studied the violin. She is a member of the Christchurch Orchestral Society. Besides being an accomplished musician, she is keenly interested in dramatic art, taking several prizes at the Christchurch competitions.
