Mr. Ted Marchant (violin and soprano saxophone), leader of the band, has been heard before from 2YA. He is assisted by Mr. W. Pearce (piano), Mr. W. Ashworth (saxophone and clarionets), Mr. D. Henderson (banjo), and Mr. V. Shepherd (drums and effects). The combination provides the music regularly each Saturday evening at the Evans Bay Yacht Club, and is frequently heard at departmental dances. Mr. Ashworth was for twelve years in the British Medical Corp Band, and the other performers are all well-known.
