THE CANTERBURY LEAGUE
The committee of the Canterbury Listencrs’ Iveague met on Moriday evening, July 25, and discussed several matters of interest to listeners. CorreSpondence was read from the Broadcasting Company stating that it wonld be pleased at any time to consider any Suggestions ‘from the league regarding relays, Oe It "was decided to approach the . Broadcasting Company and put be- .. fore it a suggestion for concerts from 3YA on Sunday afternoons, as _ it. was pointed out that in-the winter time especially Sunday aiter: ° moon concerts would be greatly appreciated by the public who are interested in wireless. The regulations at present governing wireless were discussed, and it was decided to obtain definite information conceruing the same before going further into the question, which will come up again at a later date. The Howler Nuisance. ‘The Jeague requests all listeners who ‘experituce consistent interference, including howling valves, to communiate with the secretary of the league, giving full description, accurate time, whether intermittent or continuous, position, and any. other details of the nuis‘ence. ‘The league appeals to listeners to Supply the above information, so as steps cau be taken to see what can be done to improve radio, and deal with the: present unsatisfactory state of in--terference, so prevalent in Christehurch.
