A PRESENTATION BROADCAST

What is probably the first breadeast of a presentation ceremony in New’ Zealand took place at-the St, Paul’s Presbyterian Church on Sunday evening last at Christchurch, when a presentation was made to Mr. Raynor White, who had. been organist and choirmaster for eleven vears. The miniister, the Rev, Bower Black, speaking in front of the microphone during the progress of the song service following the ordinary church service, expressed the congregation’s regret at losing the services of Mr. White, and presented him with a wallet of notes. Mrs White was also the recipient of a, suitable gift. An audience of approximately 4900 listeners heard Mr. Black’s remarks and Mr. White’s reply. Mr, White will in future be the organist at the Trinity Congregational Church, Christchurch.
