Memorial for Paeroa.

A well-attended public meeting to receive the report cf the War Memorial Committee was held recently. Several designs were submitted for selection and the meeting decided to act on the Committee’s recommendat on and erect a memorial arch at the Arney Street entrance to the Paeroa Domain. The design selected was drawn by Mr. E. E. Gillman, of Paeroa, and is estimated to cost about £I,OOO. Mr. W. Marshall, builder, offered to undertake the supervision of the work free of charge. The meeting elected a strong committee to organise a campaign to raise the money.
