AUCKLAND. A number of tenders were invited early this month by the Education Board for various school buildings:'School building at Tauhei in wood; School building at Ngaruawahia; also school buildings at Otakiri, Hamilton East, Fairfield School (Hamilton), Netherton, and additions in wood to Te Puke and Buckland schools. Mr. F. A. Browne advertised for tenders during the months for a garage in Anzac Avenue. A donation of £25,000 has been voted to the Auckland Museum War Memorial Fund by the Trustees of the Auckland Savings Bank. This brings the total amount presented to the fund to date to £52,000, the Government having granted a £25,000 subsidy and the Auckland Eacing Club having given £2OOO. It is estimated that the cost of the new Museum, which is to be erected on Observatory Hill, in the Domain, will be between £IOO,OOO and £125,000, according to the prices which wall have to be paid for building materials, labour, etc. Mr. Henry E. White invited tenders during the month for alterations and additions to a residence in Princes St. Messrs Norman Wade and A. M. Bartley called for tenders early this month for a two storey residence in brick and rough cast in Eanfuxdy Eoad. ASHBURTON. Messrs J. S. and M. J. Guthrie, of Christchurch, invite tenders for additions and alterations in brick to business premises in Ashburton for the' N.Z. Farmers’ Co-operative Association, Ltd.

Tenders will bo received up to Sept, loth this year. The P. W. Dept., Wellington, invite tenders for the supply of 34,000 super ft. of hardwood timber. Tenders are invited for the supply of Section 86, Substation 3-unit Motor-Generator for Lake Coleridge scheme by the P. W. Dept, up to June 30th. Mr. I’. W.. Armstrong, Consulting Electrical Engineer, Hereford Street, Christchurch, invites tenders for electric lighting and power installation in the new building for the N.Z.
