Non-essential Building.
The decision of the Government to put a stop to non-essential building until the houses available more nearly meet requirements has caused the Minister of Finance to receive many anxious inquiries as to whether, the restrictions apply do various buildings proposed to be erected throughout the country in the near future. The Minister in reply explained the restrictions and will ? exercise his power of prohibition where required to do so in the interests of the public. . ;a>. - ■
