ENGINEERING TENDERS.

Lake Coleridge Scheme.-—Tenders closing June 30, 1920, are invited for the supply of the following: Section 73 Synchronous Condenser. Section 87 Serivce Transformers. Specifications and conditions of contract may be obtained at Public Works Offices, Auckland, Christchurch (Electrical), Dunedin, and this office. —R. E. Herron, Stores Manager, Public Works Department, Wellington, February 21, 1920. The Auckland Harbour Board invite tenders for five electric capstans up till August, 1920. The Lower Hutt Borough invited tenders for the construction of roads, sewers and water mains for the Hall-Jones Settlement. Plans and specifications to be seen at Council Offices, Lower Hutt.

Lake Coleridge Scheme. —Tenders, closing 30th June, are invited for supply of: —Section 79—4300 h.rj. water turbine; Section 80 —3000 k.w generator. Plans and specifications may be obtained at Public Works Office (Electrical), Christchurch, and at this office, on payment of ten shillings, which will be refunded on receiDt of a bona fide tender.—R. A conference at Woodville last month decided to ask Mr. L. Birks, Government electrical engineer, to report on a scheme for the supply of hydro-electric power to the dairy farmers and factories in Maharahara, Kiritaki, and Woodville districts, with probably lighting for the borough. Steps are to be taken to form an electric power board. •
