Engineering Notes.

The Palmerston North Borough Council invite tenders up to March 1920 for supply and installation of the Complete Power Station and equipment for electric tramways, lighting, and power supply. The Plant comprises:Two 400-h.p. Pressure Producers and Auxiliaries, 3000 a - . Generating Sets, Converters, Battery, Switchboards, and Accessories, and is required for independent generation, pending inauguration of Government; hydro-electric supply in district, and thereafter for use in conjunction with such supply. Contract documents, plans and specification may be inspected at the Borough Council Chambers, at the office of Mr. F. Black, M.1.8.E., Consulting Engineer, Bailsmen Street,’ Wellington, and at the Board of Trade (Commercial Department), London. Finns desirous of tendering may obtain copies from the undersigned on payment! of a deposit of four guineas, which will be refunded only upon receipt by due date of a bona-fide tender, together with the plans and specifications.
