Mr. Chas. Court’s House, Stanley Point, Auckland.

This home which commands very extensive land and sea-scapes has been planned to give the greatest amount of accommodation with the minimum 'of household work. The main features are, a dearstorey reception hall and a billiard-room which will accommodate a full-size table and which also has a very comfortable ingle-nook. The house contains seventeen rooms, including accommodation for the staff, which is completely self-contained, and which can be separated at pleasure from the main portion

of the house. An interesting, treatment has been carried out in the dining-room which, has a very finely panelled Avainscotting of American birch; this

beautiful timber making a pleasing back-ground for the dining-room furniture which is in the Heppelwhite style.

Provision for showery weather has been made in the shape of a large Porte cochere, which enables

Architect. Lloyd, T.

Court. Point,

the occupants of a car to drive right into shelter before they dismount. The owner's bath-room is well appointed, and has tiled walls and floor; there is also a tiled shower-room where the temperature

of the shower can be fixed at any desired point by operating a single lever. This home was designed by Mr. Jas. T. I). Lloyd, A.N.Z.I.A. of Auckland. The builders were Messrs. Construction, Ltd., 204 Victoria Arcade, Auckland.
