Wo offer a prize of £1 Is. Od. for the design adjudged to be the best for a Pavilion Club in accordance with the following conditions ;—The site is level. Aspect: North-East. Materials:—Wooden frame covered with weather-boards, or rough-cast. Brick base. Roof, tiles or slates. Accommodation allowed for 50 members. The following rooms, etc., arc required:—A room each for men and women with lockers, showers, and lavatories. Small tool room, scullery, a large open room, arid verandah. Drawings to consist of plans." four elevations, and section. All drawings to bo 1/8-in. scale, finished in black and white, and all on one sheet of paper. Mr. Gerald E. Jones, Lie.,R.LB.A., of Auckland has kindly set this subject, but as he is now in camp, the competition will be adjudicated upon by Mr. B. C. Chilwell, A.R.1.8.A., of Auckland. Designs must bo sent in finished as above, under a nom-de-plume, addressed to Progress, 8 Parish Street, Wellington, and marked clearly ,l Fifty-fifth Prize Competition ” on outside with a covering letter giving competitor’s name, and address of employer. Designs to be sent in by July 21st, 1917.
