Farmers are beginning to learn the value of keeping the bebt kinds ot milch cows, according to the " Taranaki News." One dairyman near Bell Block, who is well known foi the quality of stock he keeps and breeds, has a herd of pure Jerseys which up to now have aveiaged him fifteen guineas. apiece for the season This is a remarkably good result and demonstrates what can be done -with bleeds of the right kind.
