Inglewood
(From our own Correspondent.) February 16, The members of the former teaching staff of the Inglewood Convent Schools have been transferred, much to the regret of the parishioners to whom—parents and children alike they endeared themselves by their good work and kindness during the number of years they have been in our midst. Their successors, however-, may be assured of a warm welcome and the same affection felt for those whom they succeed. As the time for opening the carnival is now near at hand those interested are working with much energy. The convent “queen” candidate is at present leading in the competition. .>
Splendid harvest weather has been experienced sicne Christmas —the best in fact ever remembered in Taranaki —so that the winter months are well provided for. Much-needed rain has fallen this week, and the growth of pasture will he greatly eliminated as a result.
