(From our own Correspondent.) February 14. His Grace Archbishop Redwood passed through Christchurch during the week after paying a visit to the West Coast. The many friends of Rev. Father Fogarty will he pleased to hear that he has been able to leave Lewisham Hospital, and will he returning to his parish (Ahaura) next week. The foundations of the Alarist Brothers’ new school are well under way and it is expected to have the building roofed before the winter. A meeting of the Alarist Brothers’ football friends will be held next week for the purpose of choosing a “queen” for the forthcoming carnival, which is being held to raise funds for the new playing ground. The new church at Marshlands ■ will be blessed and opened by his Lordship the Bishop on Sunday, March 8. The Afisses Bunz, assisted by Miss Hayward and the Afisses Alorkane gave an evening at their residence. Springfield Road, recently, in aid of the Cashmere stall for the forthcoming garden fete which is being promoted to assist the finances of Nazareth House. Rev. Father Onttrim. of St. Bede’s College, is at present an inmate of Lewisham Hospital. <V<^ASWAA<S
