-—-; '♦ ~ On Sunday, the Feast of Pentecost, Solemn Pontifical High Mass was celebrated at 11 o'clock in St. Joseph's Cathedral by his Lordship Bishop Verdon, Very Rev. Father Coffey, Adm., being assistant priest, Rev. Father Buckley deacon, and Rev. Father Kavanagh subdeacon. The sermon on the day's festival was preached by the Very Rev. Father Coffey. . CATHOLIC SEWING GUILD. The Catholic Sewing Guild for Belgian relief met on Wednesday, when the following donations were received : —Mrs. Shiel, c£2 ; 'Helper,' 10s; Mrs. Durnin b , 10s; 'A Friend,' 2s. Goods wore received from Holy Cross College, Police Station (DunodiuV Mrs. Burn, Mrs. Dyer, Mrs. Fraher, Miss Fceney, Miss Uegarty, Mrs. Layburn, Mrs. Molloy, ' A Friend ' (1), 'A Friend' (2), Anonymous, Mrs. Smith, sen- (Portobello), A Friend ' (3), Mrs. Munroe.
