The lesson in history was in progress, and in vain the teacher coaxed her class to answer. At last she brightened up. She had reached the star pupil of her little class. ‘ Now, Tommy,’ she said, * Mary followed Edward V., and who followed Mary?’ Yes, Tommy knew that, and his answer was swift, ‘ Her little lamb, teacher,’ he shouted triumphantly.
