Hastings

(From our own correspondent.) I regret to have to record the death of Mr.. Denis Hourigan, which took place' on Saturday, August , 2, after a short and painful illness. The deceased, who was 56 years of age, was a native of County Limerick, and had been a resident of Hastings for the last thirty years, where he had been well known and highly respected. The interment took place on August 4, when the remains were ; taken to the Sacred Heart Church, where a short service was held, and from there to the Hastings Cemetery, where the Rev, Father Mahpny officiated. The cortege, which was a lengthy one, was headed by a large body of the Hibenrian Society, of which the deceased was an active member. He leaves behind him a family of one son and five daughters to mourn their loss.—R.l.P.
