(From our own correspondent.) The next social by the Aramoho St. Vincent de Paul Society will be held in St.. Joseph’s Schoolroom on "August 7. The proceeds will be devoted to the reduction of the debt on the school. A new Particular Council of the St. Vincent de Paul Society will shortly be established here. It will embrace five conferences Palmerston, Foxton, Hawera, Aramoho, and Wanganui. At last Monday night’s meeting it was unanimously decided to nominate Mr, O’Meara as president. A social will be held in the Fire Brigade Hall, Wanganui, on August 13, the proceeds of which will go towards the St. Vincent de Paul Society. The members of the Aramoho branch of the St, Vincent de Paul Society paid a visit to the Jubilee Home a few evenings ago, and gave a very enjoyable programme of musical and elocutionary items. At the conclusion of a very pleasant evening the visitors were, entertained at supper by Mr and Mrs. Allen.
