In connection with my note anent the social evening held by the Children of Mary last week, I omitted to mention the names of Misses Baird and Timpany, who, by their excellent playing in connection with the musical competitions and accompaniments, added considerably to the success of the entertainment. > The St. Vincent de Paul Society's representatives on the Invercargill parish committee of the Catholic Federation are Mrs Timpany and Miss A. Thompson. ; A euchre party in aid of. the church funds will be held in Victoria Hall towards the end of August. The object for which the social is being held should assure its success. 'i
