The name ‘ Roman Catholics ’ is occasionally used by members of the Catholic Church, with the view of indicating that we are in communion with the See of Rome; but the term is objectionable as being liable to be misunderstood and to be interpreted as signifying that there are other ‘ Catholics ’ who are not ‘Roman.’ Our age-long, rightful name is ‘ Catholics ’; and to that we should uniformly and strictly adhere.
