We have much pleasure in recording a little incident which occurred at the banquet held in connection with the Triennial Movable Meeting of the H.A.C.B. Society at Napier, and which was inadvertently omitted from our special correspondent's report. This was the presentation of a beautiful gold cross by that wellknown and much-respected Irishman, Mr John Higgins, of Napier, to Bro. M. J. Sheahan, of Auckland. The latter had the honor of proposing the toast, ' Ireland, a nation,' and handled his theme so ably that Mr. Higgins presented him with the cross, merely remarking, 'Because you are a lover of your native land.' The toast was responded to by the -Very Rev.' Father Keogh, S.M.
