On next Sunday, the Feast of the Patronage of St. Joseph, there will be Solemn High Mass at St. Joseph's Cathedral at 11 o'clock. ,7 Rev. P. O'Riordan, of Binalong, Goulburn, who has been on a holiday in New Zealand, was in Dunedin during the week, and celebrated, the 9 o'clock. Mass at St. Joseph's Cathedral on Sunday. His Lordship Bishop Verdon will make a visitation of Invercargill on Sunday, when he will administer the Sacrament of Confirmation. On the following Sunday his Lordship will be in Riverton. The delegates from the Dunedin branch : of the Hibernian Society to the triennial meeting at Napier Rev. Father Coffey, Adm., and Bros. J. J. Marlow and J. Hallyleft for the north by the first express on Monday. '•■ On Sunday there was Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament at St. Joseph's Cathedral from the 11 o'clock Mass until after Vespers. Skinner, who has been in the police force in Dunedin for the past eight years, was presented on Tuesday night, prior to his transfer to Napier, with a travelling bag and a silverrmounted engraved stick, as a mark of the esteem in which he is held by his comrades in the Dunedin district.
