. ; —♦ — The retreat of the clergy commences at Holy Cross College, Mosgiel, on Monday evening. ! The retreat of the Sisters of Mercy, South Dunedin, which was conducted by the Rev. Father Creagh, C.SS.R., was brought to a close on Monday morning. Rev. Father Creagh, C.SS.R., is at present conducting a retreat for the Little Sisters of the Poor, Anderson’s Bay. ' V The Dominican Nuns will enter on their annual retreat on Monday. It will be conducted by Rev. ■Father Colman, S.J., who has just concluded the iretreat for the Dominican Nuns, Oamaru. ( ; At all the Masses. at St, Joseph’s Cathedral on Sunday , special ’ sermons ■ on marriage were preached, and the decree of the Provincial Council of Sydney on Matrimony was read and explained. '
Rev. Mother Augustine, Provincial of the Little Sisters of the Poor, .'Sydney, is at present on a brief visit to the Home of the Little Sisters •of the Poor, Anderson’s Bay. Mother Augustine returns to Sydney via Wellington in a few days. ;
