TEMUKA CATHOLIC CLUB
August 19. The members of the Temuka Catholic Club received Holy Communion in a body on Sunday, last. On Thursday afternoon the Athletic (Catholic) Football Club met and defeated Temuka in the final of the junior championship. For the winners Twomey, Burke, R. Gillespie, and Sullivan were the pick of a splendid team. This win completes a quartet of creditable performances of South Canterbury Catholic Clubs, the others being Celtic (Timaru), winners' of the senior championship; Marist School, (Timaru), winners of the school championship; and the Avoca Hockey Club (ladies), winners of the South Canterbury champion-
