Dr. Heron, Armagh, said that tea, coffee, and alcohol were not foods. Oysters were„ v one of the greatest fallacies of the present day, because an egg costing a penny would supply as much nourishment as 14 oysters costing 2s 4d, while one pound of beefsteak contained as much nourishment as 240 oysters costing £ll7s 6d.
