On July 22 the Rev. Bro. Patrick Joseph Evans died in the St. Vincent de Paul’s Boys’ Orphanage, South Melbourne. The deceased was one of the first who joined the Order of the Christian Brothers. He labored unostentatiously for 36 years amongst the orphans in South Melbourne. The deceased Brother was a native of Tipperary, Ireland.
