(From an occasional correspondent.) Shortly after the re-opening of the schools the children of tho local Convent of Mercy were given their annual outing at the Gore Racecourse. During the afternoon an excellent sports programme was carried through. An Italian i ring . i band was responsible * for much enjoyable music during the picnic. J J f u, , lda y,’ tbo Roast of St. Joseph, was chosen for the quarterly Communion Sunday of the Hibernian Society. f ass was celebrated at 8.30 o’clock, when large numbers of men approached the Holy Table. +l,O The ciiildreii and ox large number of people • attended t a PTO cl °ck Mass on St. Patrick’s Day. In the evening the Hibernians held their annual social gathering. This proved a success, about 300 persons being present The music was provided by Carmody’s orchestra.
