Grey mouth
(From our own correspondent.) March 10. ' The' residence of Mr. Michael Hannan was completely destroyed by fire on Wednesday at midnight. The fire had complete control when discovered, and Mr. and Mrs Hannan and family had only time to escape from the burning building. Mr. and Mrs. Hannan have the sympathy of the entire community in their serious loss, as the residence, which was one of the finest in Greymouth, was completely renovated only two or three vears ago. ' *,P is m wi t h extr r re ? ret I have to record the death of Mrs. Trehey, wife of Mr. Patrick Trehey, of Cobden and daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Dinnan, of Cobden' Deceased who had been in indifferent health lately, passed away suddenly on Wednesday morning, heart disease being the cause of death. The funeral took place on Thursdav and the remains were followed by a large number of mourners, including the members of the Hibernian Society in regalia. r, The Very Rev.
