SURPRISING
After a performance of ' Uncle Tom's Cabin ' in a small town a kind-faced old gentleman found his way behind the scenes and complimented Little Eva on her beautiful ascension through the pink clouds.
' Ah, my child,' he said affectionately, ' just keep up your talented acting and some day you may be a second Sarah Bernhardt.' That's impossible, sir,' laughed the child. 'And why?' ' Because I am a little boy.'
