SISTER M. MAGDALENE, QUEENSTOWN.
Tho obsequies of Sister M. Magdalene, who passed away at the Dominican Convent, Queenstown, on Wednesday of last week, and whose death was briefly mentioned in our last issue, took place in St. Joseph's Church, Qucenstown, on Friday. A Sojemn Requiem Mass for the repose of
the soul of the deceased religious was celebrated by the Rev. Father Morkane, Very Rev? Father O'Donnell (Gore) being deacon, Rev. Father O'Donnell (Qucenstown) subdeacon, and Rev. Father Cofioy (Adm. St. Joseph's Cathedral) master of ceremonies. In tho funeral procession in the afternoon to the Quecustown Cemetery the members of 'the confraternities of the Children of Mary and the Sacred Heart took part. The burial service at the graveside was conducted by 'the Rev. Father - O'Donnell (Queenstown), assisted by the priests pj;eXsibusly mentioned. _ Tho deceased was da.ugb.ter of Mrs. "$f orkane, of Kumara, and sister of Rev. Father Morkano "(Lawrence) and Dr. Morkane (Kumara), who have the sincere sympathy of a largo circle of friends in their bereavement. — R.I.P.
