Of the latter, about one-fourth were from Auckland and suburbs, the remainder being from various parts of New Zealand. The :issu.e of a magazine in connection with the debating club and other marks of progress were referred to. Special reference was made to the successes of last year's University examinations of E. Mahoney V- Carroll (of Auckland), and P. Amodeo (of Wellington), all boys of the college.
