(From Our Own Correspondent.) December 6. The devotion of the Forty Hcmrs' Adoration began in St. Patrick's Church after the 11 o'clock Mass on Sunday last. The Hey. Father Herring celebrated Mass, the occasional sermon being preached by the Right Rev\ Mgr. O'Reilly, who also preached to a crowded congrega- - tion at Vespers. The Rev. Father Mahony, of Wanganui, preached on Monday evening. The devotions were brought to a close on Tuesday morning.
