Cattle.— There was a fair yaiding of 155, a good proportion of wh.ch consisted of prime quality bullocks, for which prices were firm. Best bullocks, to ; medium, £ 7 lOS "to £9 5 inferior, up to £6. Best heifers sold up to £7. <- Sheep.— i 950 penned, consisting of a good proportion of, prime quality wethers. Prices were good at the beginning of sale, but dropped towards the end. Best wethers, 20s to 22s 6d; extra - up to 255; medium, i 7 s to 19s; inferior, up to 15s 6d ; wethers i^to 1 s 7S 6d bESI CWeS> I7S l ° 19S3d; 6Xtra ' 225; infer! °r' Lambs.-i 19 penned. The most of these were of prime quality, and values showed a slight increase. Best sold up to 17s Pigs.— 120 forward. Suckers and slips were slightly easier, and showed a decline of from 3 s to 4 s per head, whilst porkers and baconers sold at last week's quotations.
