Gleeson to Mr. Birreil, M.P., on the passing of the Irish Universities Bill: — Birrell, M.P.; London, — Congratulations on passing Universities Bill from Irishmen of Napier. — Patrick .Gleeson.' The Young Men's Debating Club held an 'at home' in their club room last week, when they entertained their friends. The early part of the evening was devoted to progressive euchre, after which the young men" handed round supper. During the evening Miss Mullins played a pianoforte solo, and songs" were given by Messrs. T. Linddle, F. O'Connor, J. Madigan, Knox,. and Mrs. Cornish. The accompaniments were played by Misses Bleazcl, Mullins, and Mr. O^Donoghue and Me Knbx. ' Miss Guzensky won the euchre prize.
