Arrangements are well advanced for the bazaar in connection with St. Mary's parish, Manchester street winch is to be opened on August 11. Mr. William Densem, who was most successful on a former occasion, has been entrusted, together with Mr. Wauchou with the entertainment portion of the carnival and .there appears every indication of the undertaking: being: most successful. fa b After Mass M the Cathedral on the feast of the Ascension the boarders at the convent of the Sisters of the Missions, Barbadoes street, to the number of sixty, were the guests for the day of Mr. and" Mrs P Burke at their residence, Cashmere Hills, where a most enjoyable time was spent. The host and hostess uro7i! ded ,, e most hospitably for the occasion, and their thoughtful action elicited the sincere appreciation of the Sisters and their charges.
